Fishing Trade Fair

Dansk Eksportforening, Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center and Sisimiut Municipality are collaborating on the Polar Fish trade fair in Sisimiut. 66 exhibitors from 7 north Atlantic nations took part in 2006 in this important event for the Greenlandic fishing industry, which will be held on 12-14 September in 2008.
 
The collaboration between Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center and Sisimiut Municipality has arisen as a result of the Municipality and the Commercial Secretariat over a number of years having had a stand at the large DanFish fair in Aalborg.
 
The two cooperative partners have arranged it so that both fairs are held every 2 years in the autumn. The Polar Fish fairs are held on even years, and the DanFish fairs on odd years.
 
These fairs have also become places where representatives of the Greenlandic fishing industry meet annually and exchange ideas and know-how.

Bookings for both fairs are made directly via Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center, while the Commercial Secretariat is on hand with advice and guidance for all those interested in the PolarFish fair.
