In the Municipality, there are a large number of businesses who supply their own products but which also serve large companies, such as those in charge of construction works or oil exploration.
 
Trade and industry in the Municipality is geared towards handling production for and the service of tourism, fishing, education and training, transport, construction and building, raw materials industry, to mention just a few of many.
