If you’re an entrepreneur with a good idea one of the most important first steps is to get competent advice from people experienced in converting creative initiatives into practical solutions.

At the Iværksættercenter the Commercial Secretariat puts its knowledge of commercial and industrial development in Greenland at the disposal of the building lessees, and entrepreneurs can receive advice on the basic start-up conditions for new businesses.

What advice do we offer?
Our goal is to create the best possible framework for entrepreneurs so allowing them to expend their energies on creative and developmental work. So, for example, they can receive assistance in drawing up budgets and profit and loss accounts, and for calculating cost prices of production solutions.
 
They can also get help in drawing up a plan of action, in order that with a thorough project description, they can better give third parties an idea of the project.

These things also make it easier for the entrepreneurs to source possible investors or institutions willing to loan them money. At the same time the Commercial Secretariat contributes with analyses of the respective projects, in order to assess whether the ideas are feasible.
 
Enterprise courses
Regular enterprise courses for people from across Greenland are held at the Centre. For people resident in the Municipality, it’s possible to receive grants, but the courses are open to everyone. People from across Greenland are invited to take a course in order to give them a better idea of whether their ideas will be possible to transplant into a company or a finished product.
