Vestnorden Fund

Vestnorden Fonden (in Danish, Icelandic, Greenlandic, and Faeroese only) is a commercial and industrial development fund which lends money to Greenlandic or Faroese companies, as well as to Icelandic companies, if they cooperate with a company from the Faeroes or Greenland.

Vestnorden Fonden puts special emphasis on creating sustainable and environmentally-friendly trade and industry, and for example in Greenland it supports the development of areas in which securing funding is difficult owing to geographic situation, such as the areas around Uummannaq, Nanortalik and in eastern Greenland.

In recent years, the Fund has also supported Greenlandic businesses concerned with tourism, handicrafts, trade and service, and it works constantly on expanding its areas of input. 

Small and medium-sized businesses, in particular, can secure finance from the Fund, and on its homepage you can read detailed information on making an application, areas of input and similar.
