Technical Upper Secondary School/HTX

The Technical Upper Secondary School is a branch of the municipal Building and Construction College, and the pupils share facilities and educators with these other courses.

The vocational upper secondary level courses distinguish themselves from the normal upper secondary school both with regard to content and educational theory. The Technical Upper Secondary School/HTX is first and foremost of interest to young people looking for careers within technical and natural sciences fields.

The education and training lasts 3 years and is especially concerned with technical subjects and the natural sciences (physics, chemistry and biology). In the final year, the pupils can choose to specialize within construction, energy or raw materials, nature and environment.

The education provided at the school offers direct access to technical and natural sciences courses, and provides a solid platform for all looking for short or longer further education towards such professions as engineer, pilot, architect, nurse, surveyor, doctor and so on.
