Sisimiut
As the town is Greenland’s second-largest, has 5500 permanent residents, a certain amount of itinerant labour and more than 50 cruise ship port calls per year, there’s naturally a stable customer base for local retailers.
Sisimiut has two major supermarkets, Pisiffik and Brugsen, as well as a number of smaller grocery shops owned by the Spar chain, and these mean that somewhere between the times of 07.00-22.00 it’s always possible to do your daily shopping.
Also in Sisimiut you can find shops selling furniture, construction materials, clothes, confectionery, TV and radio equipment, books, outdoor life products, footwear, boat engines and equipment, handicrafts, and a great deal else besides.
Head to the Sisimiut Supplybase business portal for an overview of the various outlets and their opening hours.
