The municipal administration
The chief executive is head of the municipal administration, and besides the chief executive, her staff, and her secretariat, Sisimiut Municipality consists of four different administrational departments.Click on the links below to learn more about the different administrational services:

The municipal administration of Sisimiut manages the service of citizens and politicians, and in addition to that it maintains a number of intraorganizational service tasks directed towards the administrational departments of the city hall and the local offices in the settlements.
The administrational tasks are defined by political decisions and it is the job of the municipal council to determine the shape and content of the specific political committees. On the basis of the committees the different service tasks are distributed to the administrational departments.
It is the task of the administrational departments to provide service to the municipal organization, the politicians, and the citizens. Without citizens there can be no municipality, and therefore no municipal administration.
