Settlement Councils

A local council is elected for each of the three settlements in the municipality, and the councils handle a number of affairs all pertaining to life in the settlement, and all delegated by the authority of the Municipal Council.

The local councils have been delegated the authority to handle matters regarding:
 
  • Local administration
  • Local technical affairs
  • Housing
  • Some social affairs
  • Education and culture
  • Supply services
