Welcome to the Arctic Circle Region
The Arctic Circle Region offers a world of mountains, fjords, seas and ice cap, all bearing the mark of the contrasting seasons, the power of the midnight sun and the depth of the auroral sky. And right through the centre of this region runs the Arctic Circle like a magic marker, telling all visitors that the Arctic regions lie all around them.

Localities
Four inhabited localities are found in the region. These are the colourful town of Sisimiut on the coast of the Davis Strait, Kangerlussuaq with its internationally interesting local history and ice cap as a neighbour, as well as the villages of Sarfannguit in the centre of the fjord landscape and Itilleq right on the Arctic Circle in a archipelago surrounded by snow-covered mountains.
But wherever you are in the Arctic Circle Region, you’ll find a world in which grandeur and diversity take many forms and offer memorable experiences to everyone.
Bon voyage!
