Map with trail options
With these maps you can get a generel impression of the area covered by most dog sled trips. We have drawn the more common trails and marked possible huts onto the maps.
Important information
These maps cannot replace the topographical maps for actual navigation in the terrain, and the trails themselves are only rough outlines. Every trip takes a singular route through the landscape depending on weather and snow conditions, and you can only navigate the back country on your own with a compass and a topo-map.

The trip to the viewpoint is among the most popular trails in the terrain around Sisimiut town. This is a daytrip through a beautiful mountainous area with a magnificient view of a fiord.

The trip to the Ufo goes through a mountain pass and out to a very special Ufo-shaped hut with a view into and out of the First Northern Fiord. The return to Sisimiut is often a very special experience, since the slopes of the mountain Kællingehætten dominate the horizon.
